About Éirden
Bringing the Best of Ireland to the US
Our Story
I have lived away from Ireland for over five years; yet every time I return to Éire, I discover something new.
In small towns and along quiet coastal roads, there are makers creating beautiful things: hand-woven textiles, carved wood, delicate jewelry, and artwork shaped by the landscape and ancient traditions of Ireland. Many of these pieces come from small workshops or individual artists, often made in small batches using techniques passed down through generations.
Yet very few of these crafts ever make it across the Atlantic.
The United States and Ireland share a deep cultural connection. Millions of Americans trace their heritage back to Ireland, and Irish stories, music, and traditions remain part of everyday life here. But the most authentic and unique Irish crafts—the pieces that truly reflect the spirit of the island—face insurmountable barriers to reach the American market. As a result, U.S. consumers lose access to the best Ireland has to offer and support local communities, and Irish crafters lose the opportunity to share their art with the world.
Éirden was created to change that.
Our goal is simple: Bring the best of Ireland’s makers to the United States while supporting the artisans who keep these traditions alive.
Éirden is not a mass marketplace.
We hand-select curated collections of makers and work directly with Irish artists, craftspeople, and small family workshops to distribute pieces that are genuinely made in Ireland. No mass market. No factories. No dropshipping. No low-quality goods that are doomed for a landfill.
Many of the items we carry are small-batch or individually handmade, meaning no two pieces are exactly the same. That individuality is part of what makes them special. Every maker is carefully selected, and every product reflects the creativity, skill, and heritage behind it. And yes, that means that often when a piece is gone, it's gone!
To make these works accessible to U.S. customers, we handle fulfillment locally and ship from the United States so orders arrive quickly and reliably. No surprise customs fees.
By supporting Éirden and these makers, you are helping sustain small creative businesses across Ireland. Bringing a piece of our culture into your home.
Éirinn go Brách!
